![]() Speaking of bags, the G Pro X comes with a nice leather bag to store the headset for travel.Īll that being said, the G Pro X is a thoughtful, well-priced headset that comes with a number of quality of life improvements over its older brother. I don’t need to carry this Yeti microphone anymore when I can add this G Pro X into my bag instead. This headset does laps around my Blue Yeti and I think it’s an even better tradeoff because of its size profile. The most expensive headsets still have this tinny, electronic feel to their headsets, and seeing the two compared live on that conference call is stark. The result is some of the clearest audio I’ve heard in a video gaming headset. What a wild coincidence that the Logitech G Pro X headset utilizes Blue VO!CE as part of a new partnership with the company. My reference at this point in time is a Blue Yeti microphone that I used for podcasting and other voice-related projects. They sound great when listening to both video game music and vocals.ĭon’t worry, I haven’t forgotten the microphone. The sound can be tweaked in the Logitech Gaming Software app when the USB dongle is connected, but the default profile sounds fantastic without any tweaking in the box. The sound from these headphones is so much better than some of its premium competitors that it’s almost crazy. It doesn’t sound processed, and what I also had to keep in mind is that the headset is $129.99. The sound is clear and I found the sound profile of the acoustics very nice. In a few short words, the too long didn’t read version is that I really love the sound of this headset. I think that’s enough about the design, and I think that it’s time to talk about the sound. I have no problems with the absence of these features in fact, I actually prefer the subtlety. I voiced said concerns to the company on my conference call with them, and they assured me that the demographic for the G Pro X is very different from the gaming crowd, hence the lack of the typical gaming flairs and gimmicks. While the design for the G Pro X is very well-made, people have also demonstrated concern that in 2019, a headset doesn’t have RGB. It’s also extremely comfortable, and in this case, I preferred the foam ear cups over the pleather. With a detachable microphone I can opt for office subtlety. Also included is a detachable microphone and a rubber or braided cord – again, options. It legitimately feels like you’re spinning a wheel. There’s a really nice feeling when you run your finger along the ridges of the earcup. ![]() The earcups look beautiful, with a circular metal plate that bears the Logitech G logo. I found that this headset was much more conforming to my head size. The earcups are joined by a horseshoe-style metal frame that gives the headset firmness and flexibility at the same time. The design is much-improved, with a metal frame and ear cups made of both pleather or foam – there is never anything wrong with adding extra options in the box. When Logitech increases the price of a product, there is usually a substantial increase in the expectations for the product, and the Logitech G Pro X headset is no exception. ![]() The headset came out last year at $88.99, and this year was succeeded by the G Pro X, which is priced at a slightly more expensive $129.99. Back in 2018, I had the privilege of being able to discuss the Logitech G Pro, and I found that it added quality audio to a very affordable headset. The G Pro X follows the success of the Logitech G Pro, with massive improvements to both the design and internals. The Logitech G Pro X is a headset that Logitech announced earlier in 2019 as the next generation in their eSports-centered Pro lineup of gaming peripherals. ![]()
